Venise

The last place in the so-called civilised world where you see beauty wherever you look... If I had to choose one place in the world to live, I know it would be this one.

 I took this picture few weeks ago at the island St Honorat, near Cannes. It makes me think of ‘La cathédrale engloutie’ of Debussy somehow.. From the grounds, this fortresses look very impressive, but when you step on the top and you look around, you’re surrounded by water, and suddenly this strong construction seems so frail compare to the power of the sea..
